Bio

Born and raised here in Newburg, my love of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors was ingrained at a very early age and a very old taxidermy course, of dad's, from The Northwestern School of Taxidermy planted the seed for my current profession. After high school, a career in the U.S. Navy kept me moving around, until I ended up in Alaska, with my wife Lisa and two boys, Jonas and Dakota. While on Adak, I learned taxidermy from my good friend and mentor, Jack Hodnick, and Tonneson's Taxidermy was born. I'll always be grateful, Jack!!!

Retirement found us back here in good old Newburg, where the hunting and fishing just seemed to have gotten better than I'd ever remembered.

The whole family loves to bow hunt and the look on our boys faces at the ages of 10 and 12 when they harvested their first bucks was priceless. They especially like to brag about their first bow kill because I was 30 years old before I got my first deer and Lisa has yet to score with her bow. She's waiting for "The 'Turdy' Point Buck".

Taxidermy instruction is a fairly new addition to our services and has been a great success.
